Tridel and Hullmark unveil public art at North York’s MeridianTridel and Hullmark celebrate Canadian artistry and the emergence of public art across greater Toronto with a reception and unveiling of Alexander Moyle’s cast bronze sculpture Dormez Vous? The art is featured at the entrance to the landmark condominium community Meridian Residences at Yonge and Finch. Moyle is highly regarded and known for his sculptures in major motion pictures including The X Men and Republic of Love, and at other sites including the bronzed relief of a hummingbird for the former Hummingbird Centre of Performing Arts. Described by Moyle as “like the dawn and the dusk, a reminder of our day, our year, life in transition”, Dormez Vous? features a circular pool, a wall of descending water, a reclining female figure with legs arcing upward and abstracted fiddleheads unfurling into a 20' fern. It enhances the Greenview Avenue streetscape and signals arrival at the Meridian Residences, two grand elliptical twin glass towers featuring a dramatic three-storey lobby with 24-hour concierge, luxurious suites and townhomes and a recreation centre with indoor pool.

December 9, 2007: Tridel makes progress at Meridian Residences condominium project Tridel Corp., along with Hullmark Developments, began the 26-storey, 406-unit building with three-level podium and 10 townhomes in April 2005.
